The Presbyteries of Grand Canyon and de Cristo are hereby called to meet on Saturday, May 2, 2026 in person hosted by Trinity Presbyterian Church in Tucson with a Zoom option. A Call to Order is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.  Registration will begin at 8:15 a.m.  A lunch will be provided by Frontera de Cristo  The cost of the meal is $15.00.  If paying by check make check out to Frontera de Cristo. Options for vegetarian and gluten free will be available so be sure to indicate any special needs on your registration form, found later in this email.

 

If you are planning to attend in person or by Zoom, each commissioner (Ruling Elders, Teaching Elders, and Commissioned Ruling Elders) we ask commissioners to pre-register so we can plan for meeting/church accommodations and lunch. Details for participating by zoom are included in this document and will be included with the second call issued on April 27, 2026.

 

Ruling Elder Commissioner representation numbers have changed beginning at the January meeting and throughout the remainder of 2026 for each congregation in Grand Canyon and de Cristo. This information has been sent to the Clerks of Session for each of the churches.  If you cannot find that information, contact the Stated Clerk for clarification.

 

 

The main items of business are:

  • We all participate in Worship and Communion

  • Meeting Theme is Co-Moderator of GA stories of his travels and MISSION.

  • Conduct abbreviated format for business required for stated meetings

  • Commissioning of those to service in Mission in Presbytery de Cristo

  • Examinations for 

Andrew Ojeda to move to Candidate under de Cristo CPM

Merry Anne Hood to move to Candidate under Grand Canyon CPM

  • Latest information on Frontera de Cristo

A preliminary Agenda is attached to this notice for your use.

The complete packet will be posted for downloading on Monday, April 27, 2026 on the Presbytery website www.azpresbyteries.org commissioners are responsible for printing their own materials. A repeat information for registration (including a check box for food designations) and zoom participation instructions.

 

We look forward to your participation in the Spring Stated Meeting and the opportunity it provides us to re-connect with one another, to celebrate community and to joyfully offer ourselves to God and be equipped for God’s service in the world through Worship.
