The Presbyteries of Grand Canyon and de Cristo are hereby called to meet for their Stated Meeting on Saturday, April 30 at Trinity Presbyterian. This meeting will be a hybrid meeting (public and zoom). Registration for those attending in public is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Zoom registration and sign-in will begin at 8:45 a.m. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. For those meeting in public, Registration forms will be posted on April 22 for dropping in the registration boxes at the entrance to the church. For those joining by zoom, it would help staff a great deal, if you can send an email indicating your zoom presence with your name and church name and position (commissioner, pastor, CRE, etc.).
Ruling Elder Commissioner representation numbers for each congregation were sent to Clerks of Session and Pastors for 2022 on January 10, 2022. The values remain the same as for 2021.
Highlights (Not an Agenda) for this Meeting include:
Plenary and worship with Sean Chow, with New Worshipping Communities will explore revitalization to both congregation and community as highlighted in his new book “Rediscovering Vitality”.
Worship and Celebration of the Lord’s Supper (individual self-contained packets)
Commissioning of Grand Canyon and de Cristo Commissioned Ruling Elders
Communicating with high school seniors presented by campus ministry directors Amanda Marbut PCM, Eric Ledermann Ukirk ASU, and Kathleen Day Ukirk NAU
2022 Mission Grant awards by de Cristo’s Mission Committee and Grand Canyon’s Congregational Resourcing Team
Presentation by Young Adult Volunteers of their past year of service
Information table and conversation with Marc and Amy Gerardis
A $12.00 box lunch will be available for the public meeting held at the church.
The complete packet will be posted for downloading on Friday, April 22 on the Presbytery website www.azpresbyteries.org.
Commissioners are responsible for printing their own materials.
We look forward to your participation in the April Stated Meeting and the opportunity it provides us to re-connect with one another, to celebrate community and to joyfully offer ourselves to God and be equipped for God’s service in the world through Worship.
