Call to the Spring Stated Meeting of the Presbyteries of Grand Canyon and de Cristo

The Presbyteries of Grand Canyon and de Cristo are hereby called to meet on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Valley Presbyterian Church in Green Valley with the Call to Order scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. A light lunch will be provided by the church. The cost of the meal is $12.00. If paying by check, make check out to Valley Presbyterian Church.

There is a zoom option for those unable to attend in person at Green Valley. To be able to attend the Zoom meeting option, you must contact the Stated Clerk by email (pbyclerk@gmail.com) to register and receive the log on information for the Zoom option. In the email request if you are a commissioner to the Presbytery, please include the name of the church you will be representing. These requests must be received before 5:00 pm on April 17 to be able to use the zoom option. No requests will be accepted after this date and time.

Ruling Elder Commissioner representation numbers for each congregation for all meetings in 2024 have been sent to the Clerks of Session for each of the churches. If you cannot find that information, contact the Stated Clerk for clarification.

​

The main items of business are:

• Conduct normal business required for stated meetings.

• Participate in Worship and Communion with Commissioning of GC CRE Candidates

• Interaction presentation and discussion of border issues.

• Presentation by Kristin Leucht, rep for BOP, on changes ni policies beginning 2025

• Presentation by GC Peace and Justice on new web page

• Presentation by Montlure on details for work parties and summer camps for the newly permitted Greer facility with support the Forest Service.

• Official adoption for approval for GC & dC Manuals of Operation to incorporate recently approved new policies from the January meetings. See attached documents.

• GC Nomination approvals for committee assignments

 

The complete packet will be posted for downloading on Friday, April 12, 2024 on the Presbytery website www.azpresbyteries.org. Commissioners are responsible for printing their own materials.

Also check with Mica if you are interested in the Charter Bus Service to Green Valley for the meeting for $25. We are starting the meeting later than usual and ending earlier to accommodate those riding the bus to and from the meeting.
