The Presbyteries of Grand Canyon and de Cristo are hereby called to meet for the Stated Meeting on Saturday, January 30 at Mesa First Presbyterian. This meeting will be public and zoom. Registration for those attending in public is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Zoom registration and sign-in will begin at 8:45 a.m. The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. For those meeting in public, Registration forms will be posted on January 21 for dropping in the registration boxes at the entrances to the church. For those joining by zoom, it would help staff a great deal, if you can send an email indicating your zoom presence with your name and church name and position (commissioner, pastor, CRE, etc.).
Ruling Elder Commissioner representation numbers for each congregation were sent to Clerks of Session and Pastors for 2022 on January 10, 2022. The values remain the same as for 2021.
Highlights (Not an Agenda) for this Meeting include:
Plenary and worship with Sheryl Kinder-Pyle, Executive Presbytery for the Inland Northwest Presbytery. Sharing missional experiments of joining God in the neighborhood.
Worship and Celebration of the Lord’s Supper (individual self-contained packets)
Annual meetings of the Presbytery Corporations & Montlure and approval of Corporation Officers
Installation of Presbytery Moderators
Installation of GA Commissioners
Recognition of Commission and Committee members
Navajo Property Report
Candidacy of Josefina Ahumada for Co-moderator of General Assembly
A $12.00 box lunch will be available for the public meeting held at the church.
The complete packet will be posted for downloading on Friday, January 21 on the Presbytery website www.azpresbyteries.org Commissioners are responsible for printing their own materials.
